De geheimen van de alchemie
Tovenaarsleerlingen ondernemen elk jaar een lange reis om gevaarlijke kloven te dichten en onderweg kennis op te doen. Op deze pelgrimstocht worden ze begeleid door tovenaar Zaphiel. Tijdens hun laatste avontuur hoorden alle Tovenaars, ongeacht hun rang, een vreemde stem in hun hoofd die hen afleidde van de hoofdgroep. Zaphiel vond de locatie waar de Magiërs naartoe gingen en nu staat hij op het punt het andere mysterie op te lossen: de bron van de Stem!
Bij het ontdekken van de Verboden Ruïnes, wordt de stem in Zaphiels hoofd sterker tot hij het oog van de storm bereikt, waar alles stil is. In het midden van de ruïnes ligt een metalen figuur onbeweeglijk. Interessant genoeg weet hij precies hoe hij het moet repareren en, als geleid door een onzichtbare kracht, beginnen zijn handen te werken. Hij, met de hulp van zijn Leerlingen, herbouwt de metalen Golem stukje bij beetje. Als de Golems kracht terugkeert, spreekt hij eindelijk rechtstreeks tot hem, en met een heldere stem zegt hij: "Hallo Zaphiel, ik heb je geroepen..."
Sluit je aan bij Zaphiel en help hem het mysterie van de Stoomgolem te ontrafelen.
Zaphiel is de mentor die de tovenaarsleerlingen tijdens de vorige pelgrimstocht hielp op hun vorige pelgrimstochten. Dit jaar keert hij terug om de nieuwe pelgrims op hun terugreis te helpen. Vergezel hem opnieuw op zijn pelgrimstocht door het evenement en grijp, zoals altijd, enkele van de vele prijzen onderweg!
Opdrachten en opdrachtmijlpalen
In dit evenement speel je volgens een speciale opdrachtenlijn, die je door de pelgrimstocht van dit jaar leidt. Het eerste deel van het evenement is een klassieke verhalende opdrachtenreeks. Het tweede deel is de Episodisch opdrachtenreeks, waarbij elke dag van het evenement een nieuwe opdracht wordt ontgrendeld.
Met elke opdracht verdien je tovenaarskennis 
. Hoe meer opdrachten je afrondt, hoe dichter je bij het ontgrendelen van opdrachtmijlpalen komt, waaronder de Stoomgolem artefacten!
Je ziet je actuele voortgang in de opdrachtenlijn en naar de opdrachtmijlpalen onderin het opdrachtvenster.
Daarnaast krijg je extra tovenaarskennis via de dagelijkse evenementbeloning! Kom elke dag naar je stad, dan ontvang je elke dag 30 tovenaarskennis!
Tovenaarskennis wordt automatisch aan het evenementmenu toegevoegd. Hiermee kan je tovenaar een van drie verschillende krachtbakens kiezen en over de kaart naar de bestemming reizen. Bij de krachtbakens vinden ze unieke en waardevolle beloningen, inclusief de dagprijzen! Nadat je hebt gekozen naar welk krachtbaken jouw tovenaar moet reizen, kom je een beetje dichter bij de toren der wijsheid, waar je fantastische hoofdprijzen kunt winnen!
Klik op het pictogram van het evenementmenu om het evenementvenster te openen. Hier vind je volop informatie en kun je je tovenaarskennis gebruiken:
- De resterende looptijd van het evenement
- De hoeveelheid tovenaarskennis
die je hebt verzameld en nog niet gebruikt - Hier kun je met diamanten extra tovenaarskennis kopen
- Competities, hier zie je je voortgang door de competities (zie onderaan deze pagina voor meer informatie)
- Drie krachtbakens waar je kunt kiezen waar je je tovenaarskennis kunt gebruiken
- Jouw tovenaar op zijn pelgrimstocht
- Als je ziet dat er 5 van 5 vernieuwingselementen zijn geactiveerd en je je dagprijs wilt wijzigen, klik je op de knop voor vernieuwen. Nadat je je keuze hebt bevestigd, zie je de dagprijs veranderen!
- Exclusieve dagprijs die je bij de bakens kunt winnen en de tijd dat deze nog beschikbaar is
- Hoofdprijs die kan worden gewonnen wanneer jouw tovenaar de toren der wijsheid bereikt
- De voortgang van de tovenaarspelgrimstocht richting de hoofdprijs

Tovenaarskennis
Je begint het evenement Verboden ruïnes met 50 tovenaarskennis . Telkens wanneer je een opdracht voltooit, krijg je er meer bij. Gebruik de tovenaarskennis om een van de drie verschillende krachtbakens te kiezen, waar jouw tovenaar naartoe gaat reizen om een hoofdprijs te verdienen. Van tijd tot tijd vind je tovenaarskennis langs de grenzen van je stad. Ook vind je ze soms als een van de vele prijzen bij de krachtbakens.
En vergeet niet dat je elke dag 30 tovenaarskennis ontvangt wanneer je naar je stad komt, als dagelijkse evenementbeloning!
Krachtbakens
Je kunt kiezen uit drie verschillende krachtbakens. Nadat je een krachtbaken hebt gekozen, kun je hier een fraaie prijs winnen, misschien zelfs wel de dagprijs! Telkens wanneer je een krachtbaken bereikt, ben je weer een stukje dichter bij het eind van de pelgrimstocht. Als je ver genoeg hebt gereisd om de toren der wijsheid te bereiken, kan je tovenaar de volgende hoofdprijs voor je gaan verdienen!
Als je gebouwen, dagprijzen en hoofdprijzen wint, worden deze bewaard in je inventaris

Tovenaar
Als je de tovenaarskennis gebruikt in het door jou gekozen krachtbaken, begint de tovenaar in de richting van deze bestemming te reizen. Hierdoor kom je weer dichter bij de geweldige hoofdprijzen.
Beloningen
Evoluerende gebouw
The Secret of Alchemy event gives you a new Evolving Building: The Steam Golem! Your Evolving building can be evolved through 10 stages to increase its power.

The Steam Golem provides Culture, Population and produces Boosted Sentient Precious Goods as standard production. From Stage 4 upwards your Evolving Building will produce Unurium (depending on Chapter) and on higher stages, Combining Catalysts will be added to the production. As it evolves, you will receive higher amounts of these resources!

Royal Prize Pass
The Royal Prize Pass is an additional feature, which can accompany any regular Event in Elvenar.
For every event step completed, you will make a step towards the next Grand Prize, and an additional Prize within the Royal Prize Pass!
In the Grand Prizes window (available from the Event screen if the Event is using the mechanic) you can see the upcoming event prizes that are waiting to be unlocked. Here, for every step earned from spending Event Currency, you can unlock one of the event Grand Prizes, among which you can find various high-rarity Instants, Artifacts, and so on.
The Royal Prize Pass adds Royal Grand Prizes, which can be collected with the regular Grand Prizes. The Royal Prize Lane becomes available with purchasing the Royal Prize Pass and you can do so at any time in the event! For this event, the exclusive building that will be granted with the purchase of the Royal Prize pass is the Brewing Institute!
Grand Prizes
The Grand Prizes Lane is always the most appealing, as this is where you can win and gather the necessary Artifacts to evolve your Evolving Building to the next stage!
Grand Prizes include the Steam Golem Artifact, which allows you to evolve your Steam Golem to the next stage. See Evolving Buildings for more information on the evolution process.
When you have progressed far enough to reach the Tower of Wisdom, you can collect the next available Grand Prize, which can be a Steam Golem Artifact or a unique and exclusive item such as an Exclusive Portrait that is not available anywhere else in the game!
The Grand Prizes Lane is also where you can find valuable rewards such as precious Tomes that help you get the Evolution Building and even the missing Artifact from last years event.

Daily Prizes
Each day, you will have a chance to win a Daily Exclusive Prize from Beacons of Power. This year, you can once again see some buildings from previous events but also 2 brand new buildings: Experimental Distillery and Potion Distribution Post.
For all this and much more, make sure to complete all the Event Quests so that you can have a chance to win every single one of these wonderful prizes.
After collecting the Daily Exclusive rewards and Grand Prizes, you will find them in your Inventory

Expiring Buildings
The Secrets of Alchemy event introduces a new Expiring Building which is only available through the purchase of the Royal Prize Pass: Mana Rune
This Expiring Building grants you an amount of Culture and boosts your city's Mana production as long as it is active.
But that's not all! Do you remember The Sleepy Titan, the magnificent building that produces Broken Shards? This year you have the chance to collect it once again, in both the Grand Prizes and Royal Prize Pass Lane.
As usual in this event, when you reach the last milestone reward, you will receive an Expiring Building: The Goddess of Wishes, which grants you a random reward every 12 hours.

Leagues
In this event, you will have the chance to participate in Leagues and win even more fantastic prizes!
Spending Sorcerers' Knowledge in the Beacons of Power not only allows you to progress on the map towards the Grand Prizes but also helps you to progress up through the Leagues.
There are five different Leagues you can reach by opening the Beacons of Power: Hobby, Iron, Bronze, Silver and Gold League. Each League is limited to a number of players with the required amount of points for that League. If a league is already full, you will move to the next League down but remember, the positions on the Leagues are recalculated every hour so do not give up hope and keep progressing on the event map to be able to progress in the Leagues also!
- Hobby - All Players
- Iron - Top 50%
- Bronze - Top 20%
- Silver - Top 5%
- Gold - Top 1%
For the Hobby League, you only need to start playing the event. As for the rest of the Leagues, you need to open Beacons of Power in order to progress through the Leagues. Each Beacon of Power has a different amount of points that will allow you to progress through the leagues and you can see how many points will be added to your progress directly on the Beacon of Power.
Each League has a minimum amount of points that need to be reached. The League requirements are based on the progress of all players playing the event and it is recalculated every hour, so you might notice some changes on the required points to achieve the next League.
If you hover your mouse over the Leagues icon in the event window, you will be able to see what is your rank and how much further you have to go until you reach the next League.
Leagues Prizes
In Leagues, there are even more fantastic prizes to be won such as Expiring Buildings, Event Buildings, Knowledge Points, Royal Restoration, and this time if you reach higher leagues, you will receive the Tome of Forbidden Wisdom which contains buildings of the Building Set from last years event - The Forbidden Ruins!
Each league has a set of awesome rewards, the higher the league the better the rewards! In order to receive the rewards of the league you desire, you must be in the top ranking of that League.
At the end of the event, you will see a reward window that displays your League position and the prizes you have won.
