Wintermagie
Inleiding
De winter is naar je stad gekomen, met een zware sneeuwstorm die alles onder een dikke witte deken legt. Je inwoners zijn in eerste instantie blij en gaan naar buiten om in de sneeuw te spelen, maar de ijzige sneeuwstorm neemt niet af en het pak sneeuw wordt steeds dikker. Het dagelijks leven van de inwoners wordt zo wel heel gevaarlijk en uiteindelijk wordt in de hele stad de noodtoestand uitgeroepen, met het dringende advies om veilig binnen te blijven. Tijdens je rondgang door de stad zie je een uil die van huis naar huis vliegt, met een zak met geschenken met het zegel van het postkantoor. Je haast je erheen en dan ontmoet je Janni, de Postmeester. Zij legt uit dat er vlak voordat de sneeuwstorm losbrak veel te bezorgen geschenken binnenkwamen. En nu wil ze er ook voor zorgen dat deze niet alleen allemaal worden bezorgd, maar dat de inwoners in deze moeilijke tijd ook opgewekt blijven. Zonder er verder over na te denken ga je haar meteen helpen om de genoegens van de winter uit te dragen.
Opdrachten en Opdrachtmijlpalen
De opdrachtenlijn bestaat uit een verhalend gedeelte en aanvullende episodische opdrachten, die starten zodra het verhaal is voltooid. Dit betekent dat je de eerste serie opdrachten direct kunt voltooien, terwijl voor latere opdrachten elke dag een nieuwe aanvulling wordt vrijgegeven, zodat je gedurende elke dag van het evenement een aanvullende opdracht kunt uitvoeren. Het uitvoeren van evenementsopdrachten brengt extra voordelen met zich mee, omdat elke voltooide opdracht je dichter bij een van de Mijlpalen brengt, waar je extra beloningen krijgt, gewoon omdat je ze bereikt.
Voor elke voltooide opdracht krijg je Postsleutels 
als beloning. Deze worden automatisch aan het Evenementmenu toegevoegd. Met deze Postsleutels kun je Postbussen openen, om waardevolle en unieke Evenementgebouwen en andere beloningen te krijgen. Door het openen van de Postbussen krijg je ook Wintercadeaus 
, die je verzamelt om de Grote Prijzen te ontgrendelen. Maar dat is nog niet alles in het Wintermagie-evenement van dit jaar! Als je een Postbus opent, wordt een Postster aan een Speciale Krachtenteller toegevoegd. Zodra je het benodigde aantal hebt verzameld, kun je deze gebruiken om Speciale Krachten te activeren en het geluk nog meer aan jouw kant te krijgen!
Klik op het pictogram van het Evenementmenu om het Evenementvenster te openen. Hier vind je volop informatie en kun je je verzamelde Postsleutels gebruiken:
- Toont de resterende looptijd van het evenement.
- Toont de Grote Prijs waarvoor je momenteel speelt en de volgende.
- Toont het aantal Gouden Sleutels GoldenKeys.png dat je hebt verzameld en nog niet hebt gebruikt.
- Je Dagelijkse Exclusieve Prijs. Beweeg je cursor over het gebouw om de beschrijving ervan te zien.
- Het aantal Postsleutels
dat je hebt verzameld en nog niet hebt gebruikt. - Hier kun je Postsleutels kopen met diamanten.
- Geeft aan hoeveel Wintercadeaus
zijn bezorgd en de huidige voortgang naar het ontgrendelen van de Grote Prijzen. - Olla, de Postuil: als je Wintercadeaus uit Postbussen aan Olla geeft, volgt ze het pad naar de huidige Grote Prijs.
- Postbussen die je kunt openen met Postsleutels om een beloning te ontvangen en Wintercadeaus en Poststerren te verzamelen.
- Speciale Krachten - "Onthul twee" en "Dubbele beloning" kunnen worden gebruikt wanneer het benodigde aantal Postbussen werd geopend. "Herverdelen" kan met behulp van Postsleutels worden geactiveerd, indien je een nieuwe set Postbussen wilt.

Postal Keys
You start the Winter Magic event with 100 Postal Keys and each Event Quest will give you more as a reward for completing the given tasks. Every day you play during the Event, you will receive a Daily Winter Magic login reward of 25 Postal Keys .
Also, from time to time, you will find more Postal Keys around your city outskirts for you to collect.
You can then use the Postal Keys to open Postal Boxes. Additional Postal Keys are unlocked upon reaching the third Quest Milestone. Remember that the Winter Magic event only lasts for a few weeks, and after that you will no longer be able to use your Postal Keys to open Postal Boxes and earn awesome rewards, so don't waste time!
Postal Boxes
Each day in the Winter Magic event starts with a total of 16 locked Post Boxes that are just waiting for you to open them, using Postal Keys. At the start of each day, you will be presented with a new selection of rewards hidden within the Postal Boxes. To give you an idea of what you can win, the rewards are visible at first but you must "Shuffle" them before you open the doors to claim them.
You can activate a manual "Shuffle" at any point in time, given you have the required 45 Postal Keys.
Use your Postal Keys to open a Postal Boxes. Each one will give you a Winter Gift plus one of many different rewards like the changing Daily Exclusives, Instants, Knowledge Points, Rune Shards, special Buildings or more Postal Keys.

Special Powers
Each time you open a Postal Box, 1 Postal Star is added to the Special Powers counter. Once you have gathered the required amount you can then use the respective Power to further increase your odds!

Reshuffle - At the cost of 45 Postal Keys it presents you with new rewards, closes all previously opened Postal Boxes allows you to "shuffle" them again. |

2x - Doubles up the rewards in the next Postal Box that is opened after activation. |

Magnifier - Shows the contents of two, as yet unopened, Postal Boxes. |

Winter Gifts
Each time you open a Postal Box, you will be rewarded with a Winter Gift. If you have used the "2x" special reward previously, you will even receive two Winter Gifts. Every Postal Box you open also contains a Winter Gift that Olla, the delivery owl, will deliver to your citizens. Once Olla delivered a total of 20 Winter Gifts, the next Grand Prize is unlocked for you.
Rewards
Evolving Building
A new Evolving Building is available in the Winter Magic Event: the Watchful Winter Owl! Your Winter Owl can be evolved through 10 stages to increase its power.

The Watchful Winter Owl provides Culture and Population and automatically produces Supplies. As an additional bonus, it also provides the production of various Goods, Mana and/or boosted Basic Sentient Goods (depending on the Chapter). As it evolves, you will receive higher amounts of these resources. When you feed your Winter Owl you will receive random Boosted Standard Goods per Neighborly Help while the feeding effect is active.

Grand Prizes & Daily Prizes
Each day, you will have a chance to win a Daily Exclusive Prize from Postal Boxes but, the real goal of this Event, is to win the fantastic Grand Prizes.
Grand Prizes include the Watchful Winter Owl Artifact, which allows you to evolve your Watchful Winter Owl to the next stage. See Evolving Buildings for more information on the evolution process.
But that's not all, as there are more awesome prizes, including Knowledge Points, Ancient Knowledge, Coin Rain Instants, Rune Shards and more.
After collecting the Daily Exclusive rewards and Grand Prizes, you will find them in your Inventory

Expiring Building
In this year's Winter Magic event, when you reach the last milestone reward, you will receive a brand new Expiring Building: the Goddess of Wishes grants you a random reward every 12 hours.
Pet Food
Pet Food is a special Enchantment designed specifically to feed your Watchful Winter owl and other Pet Evolving Buildings. Applied directly to the building from your Enchantments tab, it activates a Pet Food Boost. Look for the recipe in your Magic Academy's Crafting tab and craft it as your Pets become hungry again after their hard work to provide their boosts.
